Writer Thanish Rasa has filed a police complaint against director Ram Gopal Varma that he had stolen the story, screenplay and dialogues from him. Thanish Rasa alleged in his complaint that RGV’s assistant met him with a request to pen the screenplay and dialogues for Department after the director was satisfied with the story.

However, RGV refused to sign up a deal with Thanish which prompted him to stop the work. Following this, the director had told him that the project has been shelved and Thanish stopped requesting for the payment. But the writer has now come to know that Department, which is due to release this month, is based on his story and script and has filed a police complaint seeking against the director.
