Ajith is the reason for the rift between Richa and Taapsee. Initially, the makers of Ajith’s upcoming venture approached Richa Gangopadhyay to play a role in the film but when the final announcement came in, it was Taapsee on-board instead of Richa.

Sources say that Richa was very upset with this development as she was happy and excited to share the screen space with Ajith though it would not be as his onscreen pair. The two actresses are said to be at loggerheads over this.

This film is to be directed by Vishnuvardhan and also has Arya, and Nayanthara in important roles.
