At last the Kolaveri movie has made it to the theatres, well not impressing a great deal like its international chartbuster Why this Kolaveri di. Dhanush ensures he is a true performer and Shruti Hassan gives him ample support. Aishwaraya as a debutant director has done her job neatly.

Dhanush as Ram fits perfectly as a school going guy though Shruti does not seem anywhere near a Tamil local keeping in mind her north Indian features. The duo develops a relationship that gets them into trouble, how they overcome this and what happens at the end has been told in a rather complicated manner. Aishwaraya has not shown providence in the second half. The first half is a breezy entertainer while the second half is heavy and hard to digest.

Dhanush has proved once again that he is worthy of the national award. Prabhu, Banupriya, Rohini, Siva Karthikeyan and Sundar Ramu have added strength to the script.

Music by Anuridh needs no certification seeing the rage his album has created. Cinematographer Velraj has done an impressive job. In the editing department Kola Bhaskar has used the scissors right.

Despite superior star cast and some great music the film fails in the narration department as the audiences feel the heat.
