Maharaja Review

Everyday boring routine could make life unexciting at one point but breaking free and crossing all ethical barriers is not a solution says the director Manoharan in Maharaja. Mahadevan (Nassar) who lives a mundane life working as a government staff, is married to Saranya, has a grown-up son and does not get enough of life. This is when his nephew Arvind (Sathya) enters his life and his life turns 180°. Arvind who works for a multinational company has a westernized approach to life and brings changed into the life of his uncle Mahadevan. He is offered a well paid job with all benefits, Mahadevan befriends Maya (Anitha) and he starts a relationship with her.

Meanwhile Arvind meets Priya (Anjali) who is down to earth and this brings change in the attitude of Arvind. How Arvind puts Mahadevan’s life on track is depicted in this light hearted script.

The director Manoharran has done his homework well and Nassar’s performance rocks. Music is by Imman and the songs fail to impress. The movie is sure an entertainer if not for the slow second half.
